January 29th, 2018 – ‘Ogni cosa ad ogni cosa ha detto addio’ world premiere with Quartetto di Cremona at String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam.
‘Ogni cosa ad ogni cosa ha detto addio’ (Everything to anything said “Farewell”), drawing his title from a poem of Valentine Zeichen, tells of the theme of nostalgia and of the ‘farewell’. In this new work, our farthest musical roots – those of Monteverdi – coexist with the most advanced achievements of the recent avant-garde, so that the most distant and veiled harmonies can resonate in a new timbric and formal shape, as in their original strength and puissance.
